Project 3

Here is the lip sync. I put the sound into the video, but the file type wouldn't convert. The palm tree and beach chair I got from creativecrash.com. I don't know what happened to the shaders. I went to render out the scene, and leon showed up completely black, so i just threw on an orange material on him so he was visible.

Here is gnoman doing a weird scissor run. Don't know what made me think of making him do that, but it's kinda funny. Only did the animation on this.

Sneak being a classic walk cycle for animating/games, i chose to do one on gnoman. Again, only animation done by myself.

HW 7

Here are my videos of gnoman pushing/pulling a box. I only made the box and animated gnoman, I did not create gnoman myself.

Project 2

iPhone turntable from Michael Page on Vimeo.

iPhone animation from Michael Page on Vimeo.

The file for my Project 2 is found here. The turn table and short animation films are up above. I did a simple animation as some of the iPhone didn't move correctly and got really distorted if i moved certain joints much further. I used a sideways H for the joint configuration, making it kinda have a waddle for a walk.

Here are the pictures of the files/activities we were supposed to have done before break. The first two correspond to the Leon lessons, the skinning and deformers lessons. The other three are from the lesson/lab we started in class a couple of Fridays ago. They appear in this order: no flip knee, IK/FK, and foot control. You can find the MB's for these files here. Have a great break!

HW 2

Soccer Ball from Michael Page on Vimeo.

Ping Pong Ball from Michael Page on Vimeo.

Bowling Ball from Michael Page on Vimeo.

Here are the balls for HW 2. These were interesting to do, trying to get the timing/heights of the bounces accurate. The book, and CD that came with it helped tremendously. I also put some rotation on them, though because the ping pong ball and bowling ball were just round you can't really tell. I tried to put the finger holes into the bowling ball, but it messed up the rotation tool and everything else too.

Here's the animatic. It finally uploaded, after crashing my machine and working for like an hour. I've been having some problems with it.

Exercise 1

The process of doing the hand drawn part was interesting/difficult using a mouse. The Maya version was kind of cool to see it as it came together. Moving/freeing the tangents to make it more realistic was pretty cool too. I added auto key frames to scaling the ball in both the x and y directions, and I think it turned out pretty nicely.
